The Spiral Oak is a Georgia based group consisting of all walks of Pagan life.
Who We Are
Merry Meet, my lovelies. I am Emilee Moon, the founder and brain child of The Spiral Oak. The group started out as nothing more than a Facebook group in 2013 of locals and non locals alike to get together, share ideas, ask questions and bounce things off of other people who just might very well have the answer to what you seek. It was small and still is, but it has grown to over 400 members online!
Slowly, more and more people started to come together looking for guidance and teaching as new beginners and sometimes elders just looking to brush up. The situation got me started with the idea of a study group which I formed under the name of The Spiral Oak. This started a landslide and turned into more of a Grove and teaching ground where we get together on the Sabbats and Esbats in our private group as well as for classes, tea & Tarot events and now a summer camp for the wee ones called The Spiral Acorns!
The Spiral Oak Grove FAQ
Is TSO a Coven?
Not in the traditional sense. We call ourselves a Grove because we are an open community first and practice privately like a Coven second.
What is a Grove?
In our sense, the Grove is where all of us eclectic Pagans gather to enjoy each other’s company and celebrate the seasons together. Think of the Grove as the Outer Circle of TSO.
What does it take to become a TSO member?
When you join our group on Facebook, we consider you to be a member of our community. If you attend public events and actively participate in our public gatherings and the like, you are part of our Outer Circle in the community.
What does it take to become an Inner Circle Member?
You must be at least 18+ to be an Inner Circle member and you have to be local (in Georgia) as well as routinely attend events, join in on classes, and stay active within the group so that the Council knows how serious you are. If you express an interest in becoming an Inner Circle Member, fill out the application on here and complete the requirements before the Council will review and accept new members.
**Currently we are not accepting new members and when we do, the requirements will be amended and membership will be accepted on a case by case basis**
Does Membership cost anything?
Outer Circle membership into the Grove is completely FREE, though we do encourage people to share by bringing food to our potlucks and supplies for crafts and rituals. Inner Circle has a different way of doing things, however.
Is TSO family friendly?
All of our public events are always family friendly unless otherwise specified.
Are there rules and bylaws within the Grove? If so, where can I find them?
Absolutely. You can find our online group bylaws in the Spiral Oak group on Facebook or here for those of you who may attend public rituals or become members in the future . We take these bylaws seriously and they apply to both public and private functions.
I heard TSO holds classes...when and where are those?
TSO holds classes ONLINE ONLY on our Facebook page LIVE twice a month on Wednesdays at 8PM. You can find the dates under our events on the Facebook page.
**Classes are currently on hiatus due to Emilee Moon's Health. The Herald will still go out once a month as a newsletter with witchy folklore, crystal and herb correspondences, spells, charms and more.**
How do I stay up to date with other Events TSO hosts?
The Facebook page and our site have all the info you will need for our public events.
What does “TSO” stand for?
TSO stands for The Spiral Oak. We somehow adopted the initials as a nickname back in 2016.
If I have an issue while at a public function or within the Inner Circle, who should I go to?
Emilee Moon first if you can, and if not, contact a Council member or Admin in the TSO group and we will help handle the issue.
Where can I find TSO’s online presence?
The Spiral Oak Grove no longer hosts PUBLIC ritual for the Sabbats for the forseeable future. We want to reach out to others who are searching on their path and let them see what we are really about before joining the community, so we continue to hold other public functions when we can.
All other workings are done privately unless otherwise invited. We do like to have some secrecy with our "Mystery Tradition."
